Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance for Kemin products and formulate regulatory strategies to facilitate timely product registrations.
  • Act as a liaison to major regulatory bodies, including FDA, CFIA, USDA, and OSHA.
  • Coordinate and deliver training for new hires in the Regulatory Affairs department and educate staff on emerging regulatory topics.
  • Manage documentation related to M3 and IPRA.
  • Oversee product labeling for Kemin Industries.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Scientists, Sales, Quality Control, Executives, and Customers.
  • Maintain responsibility for product formulations and claims.
  • Assist in managing product recalls as necessary.
  • Handle transactional document requests as needed.
  • Draft legal documents using established templates and make necessary adjustments.
  • Review publication permissions and audit outputs from business units.
  • Participate actively in Food and Safety Compliance initiatives.
  • Attend industry trade shows and stay informed on regulatory trends.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred background in scientific disciplines.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in docketing and labeling software, as well as MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform basic math and handle analytical tasks.
  • Project management capabilities with minimal supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and analytical skills.
