Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and adjusting aircraft structure parts and system components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install aircraft structure parts and system components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Remove and replace system components, and perform necessary repairs, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Install systems lines, valves, ducts, and associated parts and hardware, following manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems, using problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
  • Check own work and may be required to check work of junior mechanics, ensuring quality and accuracy.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams, and use all tools required to do the job.
  • Must be skilled in close tolerance work and have knowledge of use of special tools and ability to perform close tolerance work such as drilling, reaming, and ship fitting parts.

Working Conditions

The Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
