Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a skilled Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and adjusting aircraft structure parts and system components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install aircraft structure parts and system components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Remove and replace system components, and perform necessary repairs, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Install systems lines, valves, ducts, and associated parts and hardware, following manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and structural problems, using problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
  • Check own work and may be required to check work of junior mechanics, ensuring quality and accuracy.

Additional Requirements

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.
  • Meet physical demands of the job, including climbing ladders and stairs, working in small-space restricted areas, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams, and use all tools required to do the job.
  • Perform close tolerance work, using special tools and knowledge of drilling, reaming, and ship fitting parts.
