Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Final Line Mechanic to join our team in Savannah. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and testing complex aircraft systems, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform complex aircraft installations, repairs, and tests, requiring in-depth knowledge of all functions of components and systems.
  2. Manage all parts and disposition of parts in assigned work station, using proper documentation and control.
  3. Assist in developing and implementing process improvements and cycle time reductions.
  4. Coordinate work with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  5. Responsible for quality and efficiency of own installations, making repairs as needed.
  6. Use a variety of tools and equipment to successfully complete component installation.
  7. Troubleshoot mechanical and structural problems.
  8. Update and sign required logs and records.
  9. May be required to plan and organize workloads and resource requirements.
  10. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company's FOD and 5S programs.
  11. Demonstrate Gulfstream Manufacturing competencies in the employee effectiveness review.
  12. Maintain and use all logs and records, such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.
  13. Support continuous improvement processes as assigned.
Requirements
  1. Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
  2. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  3. Skilled in close tolerance work, with knowledge of special tools and ability to perform close tolerance work.
  4. Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, fixtures, and jigs.
  5. Ability to use mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems.
  6. Thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices, with demonstrated ability to use within specified tolerance.
  7. Production Quality training.
  8. Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
