Position Overview:

The Packaging Engineering Technician II plays a crucial role in supporting the Packaging Engineering team by assisting with daily operational tasks and project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct various lab testing activities, including:
    o Material assessments
    o Distribution simulations
    o Climatic conditioning

- Collaborate with Packaging Engineers on:
    o Equipment qualifications
    o Production assistance
    o Packaging verification and aging studies

- Provide training to team members on testing methodologies and reporting standards.
- Execute sample preparation, maintain documentation practices, and ensure proper equipment upkeep.
- Complete tasks promptly to meet project deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Draft and compose testing reports for necessary approvals.
- Participate in improvement projects, which may involve coordinating equipment design, installation qualifications, and troubleshooting.
- Manage the shipping and receiving of test samples.
- Assist in implementing enhancements to lab and testing processes.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent; a 2-year degree is preferred.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device sector.
- Familiarity with packaging equipment is advantageous.

Skills Required:

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in technical writing and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Change Management software and general lab testing equipment is a plus.

Work Environment:

- Primarily laboratory setting with minimal travel requirements.
