Key Responsibilities
This role is situated at the Central Office and offers flexibility for telecommuting or a hybrid work arrangement. The selected candidate will engage in:
- Conducting professional planning analysis and providing leadership in various aspects of the Office of Transportation System Management.
- Developing new policies, performance metrics, and major investment strategies for long-term transportation planning.
- Executing research, analysis, and outreach initiatives to promote performance-based planning and investment analysis.
- Leading departmental projects aimed at enhancing transportation planning and programming processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of advanced professional experience in transportation planning.
- Proficiency in applying transportation planning theories and practices.
- Experience with data analysis using spreadsheet, GIS, or database applications.
- Ability to facilitate discussions with diverse audiences.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields may substitute for some experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or certification in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, or Political Science.
- Experience in governmental planning at local, metropolitan, or state levels.
- Familiarity with GIS applications in planning and analysis.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications.
