About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Hunt Valley, MD. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing low voltage electrical power systems for commercial, government, and transportation facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, technical specifications, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, cost estimates, detailed analyses, and other materials suitable for construction purposes.
  • Develop electrical power distribution and lighting design concepts with architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Prepare specifications, contract documents, and prepare engineering progress reports.
  • Ensure design conforms with all applicable codes and client standards.
  • Review shop drawings for conformity to contract documents, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct construction site electrical inspections.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 6 years of demonstrated equivalency of related experience in buildings and facilities engineering or similar field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Maryland, or ability to obtain by comity/reciprocity.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with design low voltage (480 V and below) electrical power systems for commercial, government, and transportation facilities, including office tenant space, utilities, and support facilities.
  • Working knowledge of electrical system analysis tools (E-TAP, SKM, or Paladin, etc.).
  • Experience with the design of lighting and lighting control systems for commercial, government, and industrial facilities in accordance with energy code requirements (ASHRE 90.1 or IECC).
