As a Radiologic Technologist at USA Health, you will be responsible for performing a variety of digital image management tasks, including maintaining competency in all imaging equipment and supplies. You will also be responsible for demonstrating proper positioning for all MRI exams, labeling patient position to reflect correct orientation of images, and adjusting scanning factors and coils according to patient and body part being examined.
You will also be responsible for adhering to all MRI safety and screening policies, performing patient assessment and screening within the scope of practice, and reviewing patient's prior imaging and history to ensure appropriate exam is ordered.
Additionally, you will be responsible for researching surgical histories and devices, demonstrating understanding of the hazards associated with MRI, and using proper padding and ensuring patient positioning or devices do not create a "loop" to reduce potential for burns.
You will also be responsible for recognizing emergency situations and initiating code procedures as needed, following safe MRI procedures, and maintaining aseptic or sterile technique when performing MRI image-guided invasive procedures.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for directly assisting the Radiologist/physician during MRI image-guided invasive procedures, preparing patient for intravenous (IV) injections, and administering IV contrast per approved protocols.
You will also be responsible for educating healthcare workers who may accompany patients regarding MRI safety, reviewing CPOE and written orders checking for special instructions from physicians, and consulting with physicians as needed.
Finally, you will be responsible for accurately critiquing images to determine diagnostic quality and adjusting factors if imaging is to be repeated, adhering to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and performing or assisting with the performance of accreditation requirements for the American College of Radiology (ACR).

A bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology may substitute for the required experience in conducting routine diagnostic procedures. Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Diagnostic Radiology is also required.
