PEG Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controller to drive financial excellence and support the growth of our client.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the accounting department, providing mentorship and professional development for the team.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee the budgeting process, collaborating with department leaders to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, optimizing collection and payment processes for greater efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, and oversee audits and tax filings in partnership with external auditors.
- Foster collaborative relationships across the company to align financial strategies with business goals and address inquiries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
- Public accounting experience is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Proven success in fast-paced, dynamic environments, particularly within entrepreneurial settings.
- Experience with multi-generational family-owned businesses is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with a background in financial reporting and analysis tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing process improvements and streamlining financial operations.
