Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in the operation of a consumer finance office. The key responsibilities include waiting on customers, taking applications, investigating credit, processing payments, refinancing loans, handling delinquent work, and sending out advertising letters. This individual must accurately complete office forms and reports, maintain current records, and manage daily transactions.

Duties & Essential Job Functions
  1. Solicit loans over the phone and at the counter.
  2. Answer the phone, post customer payments, input new and refinance loans into the loan software system, process loan applications, and prepare refinance and delinquency mail.
  3. Perform additional duties such as opening mail, distributing, posting counter payments, and providing customer credit experience to inquiring creditors and credit bureaus.
  4. Complete loan documents and close current refinance loans.
  5. Prepare daily deposits of cash and checks.
  6. Maintain and balance the correct amount and denominations of money in cash drawers daily.
  7. Maintain the loan standard report daily.
  8. Telephone past due customers.
Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, collections, or the finance industry is required. Bilingual skills are a plus. The Customer Service Representative must have knowledge of computer skills.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalence is required.
