With a workforce of over 1300 employees and more than 70 program locations across Nassau and Suffolk, we are committed to helping children, teens, and adults attain the highest levels of independence while pursuing their aspirations.
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in facilitating the recruitment process and providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct phone screenings of potential candidates and manage applicant communications through various channels.
- Monitor and review Driver's License reports to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Assist in posting job openings on the ADP HRIS system and various recruitment platforms.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including managing phone coverage, maintaining files, and performing data entry and audits.
- Support reference checks and background investigations as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous office experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Schedule:
This position offers a flexible schedule of 30 hours per week, with potential for a four-day workweek.
Compensation:
The starting salary for this role is $16.00 per hour, and it is eligible for benefits.
