Interventional Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our Float Pool team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Interventional Radiology department.
Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
- Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
- Perform quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary
- Assist in departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, and more
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- Minimum 3 years ARRT(RT) or CNMT experience, including 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Unlimited state license (if applicable)
- Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
This role requires working in a patient care area, interacting with patients, and potentially being exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to adapt to the specific patient population and maintain a safe working environment.
