School Psychologist Job Description

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking experienced School Psychologists to provide comprehensive psychological services to students in a full-time, on-site role. This position involves conducting assessments, participating in IEP meetings, and writing detailed reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, excellent assessment and report writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Psychological Assessments: Evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning to identify areas of strength and need.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs.
  • Write Detailed Reports: Document assessment results, observations, and recommendations for student support.
  • Provide Support and Consultation: Offer guidance and resources to teachers, parents, and other staff members to promote student success.
  • Collaborate with School Teams: Work with educational teams to develop and implement interventions and strategies for students.
  • Maintain Confidential Records: Ensure accurate and organized records of student progress and evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Psychology: A graduate degree in psychology is required for this position.
  • Valid School Psychologist Credential or License: A valid credential or license in California is necessary for this role.
  • Experience Working with K-12 Students: Previous experience working with students in a K-12 setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual Candidates: Bilingual candidates who speak English and Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong Assessment and Report Writing Skills: Excellent assessment and report writing skills are essential for this position.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively: The ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and families is critical for success in this role.
