Production Supervisor

8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a dynamic organization that produces and sells quality products to retail, foodservice, and ingredient customers. As a key member of the Production department, the Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading front-line production employees to achieve production throughput and quality goals in a safe and cost-efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules to ensure efficient production operations.
  • Monitor and measure production department throughput and quality metrics, providing timely feedback and coaching to employees to improve performance.
  • Maintain accurate production records and assist in the training and evaluation of employees assigned to the department.
  • Partner with the Health & Safety function to advance production department safety programs and improve employee safety in the workplace.
  • Lead daily team huddles and monthly team meetings to drive team alignment, productivity, and safety.
  • Assist in the development of the department-operating budget and implement lean manufacturing processes to drive continuous process improvements in quality, productivity, sanitation, and safety.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extra hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Associates degree in maintenance, manufacturing, or related technical field.
  • Previous experience with implementing behavior-based safety programs.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strategic planning skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environments.
  • Work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift.
  • Bend and crawl for 7+ hours per shift.
