Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team at Robert W. Baird & Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Portfolio Management function, including tasks related to client service, performance, portfolio management, trading, data analysis, and the BTC Investment Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary sales contact for BTC's Custom Portfolio Management (CPM) and SMA strategies offered through the Baird SMA Network.
  • Support Portfolio Managers in managing existing client relationships and portfolios.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of portfolio management within a trust company environment.
  • Collaborate with Trust Administration to manage existing client relationships and portfolios.
  • Support BTC trading functions for Trust Company client accounts (Bundled Trust and CPM).
  • Review the accuracy of BTC client investment reviews used to share investment and performance information during client meetings.
  • Maintain proper internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable SEC, IRS, Federal, and State laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on company and departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Assist senior staff in developing strategic objectives, philosophies, mission, strategies, and tactics.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance (Master's of Finance or MBA preferred).
  • MBA/CFA/CFP/CPA preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 required - or ability to obtain.
  • FINRA Series 63, 65, or 66 required - or ability to obtain.
