Water Treatment Specialist

Job Summary:
Kleinfelder is seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a Water Treatment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our water supply and wastewater plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and blowers to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Complete and follow-up on work orders and process control monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours to optimize plant operations.
- Service and maintain equipment and overall plant to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
- Clean sand filters and media filters to maintain water quality.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
- Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custody to ensure accurate results.
- Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing, and prepare reports to track plant performance.
- Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on results to optimize plant performance.
Requirements:
- Good and effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Good analytical and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Possess a minimum certification in both water and wastewater with some mechanical or electrical experience preferred.
- Committed to following established policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with 75% field work and 25% office time.
