We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Lantern Community Services Inc.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

This position operates in an office environment, requiring regular standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Management:
  • Monitor and assist with day-to-day order placement of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement activities.
  • Routinely review invoices, verify accuracy, and route them accordingly for payment processing.
  • Serve as an interface between Program staff and Finance staff to ensure seamless procurement processes and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate contracts, quotations, and other necessary agreements.
  • Technology Support:
  • Assist IT vendors, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with contractors, architects, and designers as needed.
  • Maintain competitive pricing records for desired items, ensuring optimal purchasing decisions.
  • Additional Tasks:
  • Coordinate special projects, collaborate with consultants, and provide recommendations for policy development.
  • Prepare invoices for payments, manage back-up documentation, and maintain fiscal records.
  • Support Executive Team members as needed, ensuring smooth operations and efficient decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement management, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and supply chain software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Compensation:

Estimated annual salary: $65,000.
