Procurement Assistant Liaison for Board Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Assistant Liaison to join our team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and editing Board calendar items in accordance with NYCHA's procurement guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the submission of Board calendar items and Board briefings prepared by departments, including but not limited to: reviewing and editing in the preparation of Board items; examining cost estimates and calculating cost variances; analyzing contractor's past work performance and capacity; reviewing contractor's change order history; drafting and/or editing narratives explaining the scope of work of A&CM's Board Resolutions.
  • Ensure funding requested by A&CM Department teams for each capital project aligns with the funding allocated by the Capital Planning & Administration Department.
  • Submit subcontractor approval requests to the Procurement Department on behalf of A&CM.
  • Track vendor approvals and prepare reports to assist in the awarding of contracts.
  • Update and maintain the Board Resolution database and electronic filing system.
  • Distribute Board calendar items and notify stakeholders of their disposition.
  • Liaise with the Office of the Corporate Secretary, Law Department, Procurement Department and other NYCHA departments.
Requirements
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in one or a combination of the following areas: budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research; management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation or fiscal management.
Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
