Job Description

Role Summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality virtual instruction to students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Virtual Instruction: Provide engaging and effective virtual instruction to students with special needs, utilizing a range of teaching strategies and technologies.
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues to create and implement effective IEPs that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Utilize Virtual Teaching Platforms: Leverage virtual teaching platforms, educational software, and assistive technologies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and virtual instruction.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification: Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience: Proven experience in delivering virtual instruction to students with special needs.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of IEPs, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in utilizing virtual teaching platforms and educational software.
