Human Resources Specialist

This role will be responsible for focusing on leave administration, assisting benefit meetings for new hires, COBRA, answering associate questions, ensuring associate files are maintained and work on various spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and administer leave of absence requests and paperwork, including Disability, FMLA, PFL, and Workers Compensation.
- Reconcile billing statements.
- Conduct new hire benefit orientation and ensure successful online enrollment via ADP.
- Administer COBRA paperwork, enrollments, and payments.
- Communicate daily with employees via email, telephone, and video conferencing.
- Assist employees in resolving questions regarding statements or bills received.
- Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for employees during any benefit or human resources-related interactions.
- Employee record maintenance.
- Maintain employee files by filing all updated and required documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; a minimum of an Associates Degree is required.
- 2+ years of experience supporting the Human Resources department with benefit & leave administration.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong written communication skills to maintain a professional level of correspondence.
- Friendly attitude to work cooperatively with all employees and departments.
- Flexibility to move from one task to another as needed.
