About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Systems Engineer to join our team at Bluespace LLC. As a key member of our autonomous vehicle technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge robotics systems that revolutionize the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software infrastructure for robotic sensing systems, including sensors, compute, device drivers, and network communication.
  • Optimize continuous processes to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Develop custom robot application code to interface with new technologies and integrate with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot hardware breakdowns and equipment failures.
  • Manage projects, both internal maintenance projects and major contractor projects, to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain proper documentation related to robotics systems, including procedures and technical guides.
Requirements
  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in robotics development, with a strong focus on autonomous vehicle technology.
  • Proven experience in developing device drivers and working with various hardware, including sensors such as Lidar, radar, camera, IMU, GPS, odometer, wheel encoder, etc.
  • Experience in developing perception algorithms and solving time synchronization using software/hardware synchronization techniques across different sensors.
  • Strong background in robotic programming and applications, with hands-on experience in commissioning and programming industrial robots.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in robotic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Virtual commissioning experience of a robotics system is a plus.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as ROS, Python, Java, C, C++, HTML, and experience with robot simulation packages and off-line programming.
