Position Overview

As a vital member of our Robotics team, you will be instrumental in advancing our robotic systems. If you are enthusiastic about robotics within the renewable energy sector and possess the qualifications outlined below, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Compensation
The salary range for this full-time onsite role is $160,000 - $190,000, complemented by stock options and comprehensive benefits. Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, education, and job location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate and commission new robotic hardware and software into our existing fleet.
  • Maintain and optimize configurations of the robot fleet for peak performance.
  • Design a user-friendly graphical interface (GUI) using Qt for Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) with our industrial robots.
  • Conduct hands-on testing of robotic systems and GUIs to ensure robustness and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee the robot data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and efficient management.
  • Develop and maintain bash scripts for automating robot management tasks.
  • Collaborate with the robotics team to enhance software architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to robotic compute and HMI functionalities.
  • Develop software components using ROS2, C++, Python, Bash, and QT in a Linux environment.
  • Contribute to the establishment and upkeep of CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in designing and developing QT GUIs for HMIs.
  • Proficient in C++ and Python programming.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with ROS, ROS2, or similar pub/sub architectures.
  • Experience in managing robotic data infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Docker containers is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics.
  • Experience with industrial or outdoor robots, including those used in construction or agriculture.
