RF Engineer for Medical Imaging

Promaxo, a pioneering medical technology company, is seeking a skilled RF Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing next-generation point-of-care MRI systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and build new RF magnetic field sensor coils for MRI applications
  • Create schematics and layout PCBAs using Altium Designer software or equivalent
  • Bring up and test PCBAs in the lab
  • Work with fab and assembly suppliers to get boards fabricated and assembled
  • Optimize designs by doing circuit analysis and choosing parts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues in the factory and from the field
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and electrical engineers to create industry-leading medical devices
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, best practices, and lessons learned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with preference given to those with at least 2 years of relevant R&D lab experience or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience using standard electrical and RF test tools, including network analyzer, oscilloscopes, function generators, bench power suppliers, and digital multimeters
  • Knowledge of RF circuits/sensors, such as matching networks, phase shifters, RF/MW antennae, or MRI RF Coils
  • Knowledge of RF low noise signal amplifiers and RF power amplifiers
  • Understanding of RF electromagnetic fields and antennae
  • Effective technical communicator
  • Ability to manage action items and deliver according to a schedule
  • Fundamentals in math and sciences: mechanics, electronics, basic electromagnetic theory, etc.
