Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses to identify members' mental health needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to members and their families to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, Evidence-Based Practice, and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Competence in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
