Job Title: Forensic Mental Health Counselor - Adult Correctional Facility

Napa County, CA is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Mental Health Counselor to provide professional mental health services to adults in a correctional setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting clinical assessments, providing counseling, crisis intervention, and continuing care services to inmates.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for inmates
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to inmates
  • Collaborate with correctional staff and community providers to ensure seamless transition of care
  • Document all interactions and interventions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in forensic mental health
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, clinical or counseling psychology, or a related field
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Acceptance by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences as a candidate for licensure (registered intern/associate) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Associate Clinical Social Worker, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
  • One year of professional, post-masters experience providing treatment and counseling in a mental health agency (desirable)
