Senior Systems Engineer with TS/SCI Clearance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex applications requiring extensive administrative and technical skills.
  • Oversee and engage in all phases of system development, focusing on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E).
  • Apply advanced business or technical principles and methods to resolve challenging technical issues, delivering automated engineering solutions.
  • Create and prepare technical reports and related documentation, including charts and graphs to illustrate results.
  • Develop and present briefings as required, potentially serving as Task Leader, ensuring quality and service delivery for assigned tasks.
  • Analyze customer requirements, operational concepts, and high-level network architectures to formulate specific requirements and specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently from design through implementation.
  • Assist users in defining requirements, propose alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to both technical team members and non-technical staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices to provide optimal solutions and security for government systems.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture and design documentation, promoting continuous improvement of systems architecture.
  • Formulate and design implementation plans that align with customer requirements.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding network engineering technical considerations and related issues.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Network Engineering domain.
  • Collaborate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectively.
  • Analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and propose solutions to ensure efficient network operations.
  • Lead systems engineering activities within projects, providing comprehensive definitions of all aspects of network development from mission needs analysis to performance verification.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.

Requirements for Success:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience
  • Essential Skills:
  • Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variances, and effectively manage large-scale, integrated projects.
  • Review and approve system engineering documentation to ensure processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Establish formal procedures for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete interface coverage.
  • Document all interface designs in a common format and maintain accessible repository for interface data.
  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI; candidates must be willing and able to obtain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
  • Required Certifications:
  • DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification is required prior to contract support.
  • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
  • Computing Environment: MCSA Server 2016 (must obtain full certification within 180 days from start date).
  • Desired certifications: MCSA 2016/2019/Azure, Linux+, VCP-DCV, etc.
  • Additional Information:
  • Position may require physical activities such as lifting IT hardware and reaching/bending/kneeling.
  • Travel may be necessary to support mission objectives.
