We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our Team immediately for a position as a Systems Engineer. This role is responsible for various tasks including systems administration, network engineering, troubleshooting, and the integration of new technologies, all while ensuring technical integrity and compliance.


**This position requires active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level and at least Associate’s Degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.**


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
  • Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
  • Designs, develops, implements, tests, debugs, and maintains systems.    
  • Complies with prescribed customer, industry and agency standards.
  • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectively
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
  • Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
  • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems​


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

  • Associate’s Degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
  • Be able to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets


Clearance Level: 

  • TS/SCI (Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract)


Required Certification(s):

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract (IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent)
  • Computing Env: Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent  (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.

  • 100% On Customer Site (offsite location adjacent to Fort Meade, MD)
