POSITION SUMMARY


Under the supervision of the Regional Grain Improvement Manager, this role is tasked with the safe and efficient handling of grain products during the receiving and loading processes. The incumbent will focus on enhancing operational efficiency and contributing to the overall profitability of the organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Engage in all aspects of unloading, loading, and transferring grain products, including truck and rail operations.


Operate conveyance machinery essential for the shipping, receiving, and transferring of grain, while adhering to safety protocols associated with the equipment.


Foster positive relationships with customers as the initial point of contact.


Maintain a professional image that reflects well on the organization.


Possess knowledge of grain quality and conditioning processes.


Implement best practices for inventory management.


Ensure the safe and effective use of materials and machinery.


Keep equipment, facilities, and other company assets in a safe, tidy, and professional manner.


Conduct proper grain grading and blending procedures.


Assist in maintaining necessary records and reports to comply with regulatory requirements.


Support the Location Manager in managing operational expenses.


Collaborate with other locations and departments as required.


Inspect handling equipment and grain inventory at various heights using ladders.


ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Answer phone calls and greet walk-in customers professionally.

Adhere to GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, as well as Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience


A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, along with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience or a comparable combination of education and experience that demonstrates industry knowledge, computer skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Other Requirements


Willingness to work outside of standard hours at various times throughout the year to meet operational demands.

Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.



Frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.).

Occasional work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Regular lifting of weights between 51-70 lbs.


Willingness to participate in mandatory training, including education on GROWMARK's policies and additional training relevant to the position.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to noise from grain handling equipment, truck traffic, and elevator operations.

Exposure to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).

Exposure to grain dust.

May require working at varying heights, including climbing on grain bins and legs.
