Overview
This role involves delivering direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assists in patient evaluations by gathering necessary data for assessment.
  • Administers prescribed medications and monitors patients for any adverse effects.
  • Identifies educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored instruction based on individual circumstances.
  • Conducts duties in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act.
  • May assess patient conditions and refer to healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Communicates pertinent information to patients.
  • May execute directives from healthcare providers related to patient care.
  • May undertake administrative tasks to support the clinical department.
  • May implement care plans as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or higher is mandatory upon hire.
  • No prior experience is necessary.
  • Must possess a valid LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse license eligible for practice in the state of Kentucky upon hire.
  • BLS certification as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider is required within 45 days of employment.
