Cyber Operations Supervisor

Location: North Charleston, SC | Employment Type: Full Time

Security Clearance: Minimum of a Secret Clearance Required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI

As a Cyber Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the accountability of all analysts during shifts. This role involves mentoring, delegating tasks, and ensuring that all analysts are effectively performing their primary responsibilities of evaluating indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • During operational campaigns, direct the Incident Response (IR) and investigation processes, ensuring that tasks are completed and accurately documented in the campaign's forensic notes.
  • Ensure that the Analyst Notes pages are precise and formatted correctly throughout the campaigns.
  • Guide the IR process to guarantee that forensic notes are thoroughly vetted and that the forensic timeline of the campaign documentation is properly maintained.
  • Facilitate effective turnover of tasks and findings through verbal communication and the shift roll-up tab in campaign documentation.
  • Prioritize cyber events and incidents as required.
  • Manage communication with all peer defensive cyber components during incidents.
  • Provide incident response and mitigation actions to stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

  • Verify the status of cyber event/incident tickets and ensure that the latest actions are current with incident communications and analysis.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on tickets created and the analyses performed.
  • Collaborate with Watch Officers to ensure adequate staffing for operational objectives.

Analyst Mentorship:

  • Assist the Training Coordinator in validating satisfactory analysis and mentoring analysts with non-satisfactory performance.
  • Conduct verbal turnovers with outgoing and incoming shift personnel.
  • Maintain written turnover records within the incident tracking systems.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor information from USCYBERCOM/JFHQ DoDIN and subscriber cyber components for changes in the Cyber Protection Condition (CPCON) level.
  • Communicate any changes in CPCON level to the appropriate personnel.
  • Report any devices or critical services that are down during your shift.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Operations Report to subscribers.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) environment or similar.
  • DoD or DoN Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Certification or compliance (DoDD 8140 or SECNAV M-5239).

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Incident Response Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Packet Analysis and IDS/IPS solutions.
  • Experience with Log Aggregation Tools.
  • Strong logical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required for incident response and to support other program needs.
