The Surgical Progressive Care Unit/IMC is a 32-bed unit that provides three levels of care: Floor, Telemetry, and Intermediate Medical Care (IMC). As a leader in this unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Nurse Manager with daily operations, guiding staff, and enhancing patient care.

This role is designed for an experienced nurse to take on the responsibilities of a Senior Clinical Nurse Leader within the Surgical Progressive Care Unit.

Qualifications:

  • BSN or MSN preferred from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or Compact State Registered Nursing license is mandatory.
  • CPR/BLS certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership experience as a Registered Nurse is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead unit-based initiatives and participate in various surgical patient care activities.
  • Facilitate ongoing education for staff members.
  • Engage in hospital-based and unit committees.
  • Balance administrative responsibilities with direct patient care.
  • Mentor and support new nursing staff.
  • Provide constructive feedback to hospital leadership.
