Home Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Home Care Assistant to join our team at Sevita in Ashland, KY. As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assisting them with their daily living needs.

Salary: $14.50 hourly, paid daily with Dayforce Wallet

About the Role

This is a full-time position, with weekends included. You will be working directly with clients, providing personal care, cooking meals, administering medications, and housekeeping. You must be able to transport clients to medical appointments or outings using your reliable vehicle.

You will also be responsible for performing all duties of the Home Care Assistant role, including but not limited to: total care, assistance with eating, dressing, brushing teeth, shaving, bathing, toileting or wiping.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (if younger than 21 years of age)
  • Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
  • Driver's Licenses: Held a full and valid Driver's License for at least 12 months. Permits or Intermediates do not qualify.
  • Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
