Key Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Line Assistance Specialist (MLAS) is tasked with various essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Assisting with equipment adjustments, line startups, shutdowns, and downstream setups.
  • Promptly reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents to the Production Supervisor.
  • Acquiring and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all product specifications and packaging standards.
  • Managing raw material handling, including dumping, sampling, labeling, and storage, while ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Participating in training programs to enhance job skills and knowledge.
  • Facilitating product conversions to fulfill customer orders, which may involve drilling, palletizing, trimming, and generating necessary documentation.
  • Upholding cleanliness and organization within the facility.
  • Operating forklifts and yard tractors safely and performing routine maintenance.
  • Supporting downstream activities, including coiling, palletizing, gasket installations, and quality inspections.

Preferred Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to:

  • Lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly to a height of 6 feet.
  • Stand and remain mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours.
  • Perform physical tasks in varying temperature conditions.
  • Utilize full body motion, including twisting, bending, reaching, and operating industrial equipment.
