Job Title: Oncology Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of anti-cancer medications.

Job Summary:

The Oncology Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for providing expert clinical pharmacy services to patients with cancer, including medication therapy management, drug information, and patient education. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized medication plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients with cancer, including medication therapy management and patient education.
  • Develop and implement individualized medication plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in oncology pharmacy practice and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and pharmacy services.
Requirements:
  • PharmD degree or equivalent.
  • Iowa pharmacist licensure, either by examination or reciprocity.
  • PGY2 Oncology residency training or equivalent clinical experience in oncology setting.
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Oncology certification desirable within 24 months of hire.
