Key Responsibilities:

The CWMD Information Operations Strategic Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction Fusion Cell. The responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in comprehensive planning to address the full spectrum of requirements related to SOCOM's CWMD strategic initiatives, integrating seamlessly with the SOCOM CWMD Operational Planning Team (OPT).
  • Assisting the OPT in organizing, focusing, and synchronizing efforts among SOCOM CWMD enterprise partners to achieve defined objectives.
  • Developing content and structure for segments of the releasable SIE Strategic Plan that align with the new CWMD planning and synchronization mission.
  • Facilitating the Strategic Planning Process (SPP) by employing a Systemic Operational Design (SOD) approach to analyze the operating environment and define end states.
  • Conducting in-depth nodal analysis of pathways and networks across various operational contexts.
  • Collaborating with intelligence analysts to produce CWMD Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE).
  • Utilizing Systemic Operational Design (SOD) to assess intelligence and enhance the OPT's understanding of the operational environment, threat capabilities, and WMD program efforts.
  • Applying SOD methodologies to inform and refine the planning process.
  • Supporting all planning lines of effort through project planning, research, analysis, intelligence evaluation, document preparation, and knowledge management synchronization.
  • Facilitating working groups, engagements, and plans synchronization across Combatant Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands, U.S. Government partners, and key allied nations, including the development of briefing materials and support documents.
  • Providing staff coordination support to achieve programmatic objectives and facilitate Knowledge Management (KM) principles.
  • Conducting detailed technical assessments of threat nuclear technologies and ballistic missile systems.
  • Creating and maintaining an electronic resource, including key points of contact, to ensure mission continuity accessible to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Operations research, analysis, planning, or Knowledge Management.
  • 5 years of experience supporting CCMD-level planning and coordination of sensitive activities.
  • At least 2 years of experience with decision support tools and data standard operating procedures.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in developing, synchronizing, and deconflicting strategic-level Information Operations planning and operations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic and/or operational planning at the Joint Staff, combatant command, or regional Theater-level.
  • Alternatively, 5 years of experience with national and regional strategies, plans, and objectives, including the full range of sensitive activities and SOF Core Activities.
Security Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is mandatory.
