Job Overview:

SALARY RANGE: $78,800 - $118,200*

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves assessing current manufacturing methods and configuring systems to minimize costs, enhance yield, and bolster safety. The ideal candidate will apply best practices and statistical techniques to optimize operational performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Spearhead change management and kaizen initiatives within manufacturing. Innovate and develop effective solutions. Coordinate engineering trials across production departments. Ensure adherence to established procedures. Communicate project outcomes to management. Assist with capital projects in the process area. Recommend and implement corrective measures. Collaborate with equipment designers and manufacturing personnel to devise cost-effective manufacturing methods. Troubleshoot and refine existing processes. Research and procure new manufacturing technologies. Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Participate in mandatory training, medical monitoring, and safety evaluations. Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas. Execute all physical aspects of the role, including standing, bending, lifting materials up to 35 lbs. Meet established attendance standards. Work overtime as necessary. Report any work-related injuries or illnesses to the supervisor immediately. Perform other assigned duties as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering or a related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Proficient in statistical analysis. Strong background in lean manufacturing principles. Experience in investment casting is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. Occasionally, the employee must sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to manipulate materials. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
