About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist Specialist to join our team in a prominent role supporting a state-of-the-art hybrid OR. This position will provide an opportunity to become an integral part of an experienced vascular surgery group of 7 performing a wide range of endovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Complete timely quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as warranted
  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
  • Adapt behavior to meet the specific needs of patients, including respect for privacy and effective communication
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

  • Healthcare experience
