The selected individual will collaborate closely with the Controller, gaining comprehensive insights into the organization's financial processes and operational strategies. A strong emphasis will be placed on accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all financial data is entered correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare General Ledger entries in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Gather and organize invoices, authorizations, and shipping documents for goods and services received.
- Process vendor payments promptly using various methods.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive filing systems.
- Verify and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Generate invoices in accordance with company standards and submit them to clients.
- Reconcile daily financial records from retail operations, including sales and loyalty program transactions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in accounting roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers and calculators.
- Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in anticipating work needs and engaging professionally with clients and vendors.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
