Job Summary:

EHM Senior Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Financial Controller to join our corporate finance team in Saline, MI. This role blends high-level financial oversight with hands-on accounting responsibilities.

About the Role:

As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the monthly closing of accounting books, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations. You will collaborate with business office staff at each facility to ensure timely and accurate closings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly closing of accounting books, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with business office staff at each facility to ensure timely and accurate closings.
  • Prepare monthly financial analysis and reports for the CFO, CEO, Board of Directors, and departmental managers.
  • Assist with hands-on accounting tasks, including account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Support the CFO in preparing the annual budgets for the corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Complete the monthly closing of the general ledger and accounting records, including accrued adjustments.
  • Serve as the liaison for the annual audit, coordinating with the CPA firm and ensuring smooth completion of the audit for EHM Senior Solutions, its divisions, and subsidiaries.
  • Provide support in the preparation of ad hoc financial reports and analyses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Healthcare experience required.
  • Proficiency with financial and accounting software strongly preferred, including PointClickCare (PCC), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), QuickBooks, Paycom, and Fixed Asset Software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with financial audits and preparation of budgets is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to handle both high-level oversight and hands-on accounting tasks.
