Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $144,711 - $190,885, with an hourly equivalent of $69.31 - $91.42. UC San Diego Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings plans and paid time off.

Job Description

As a RN Care Manager at UC San Diego Health, you will be responsible for facilitating the patient's hospitalization from pre-admission through discharge. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers to expedite medically appropriate cost-effective care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California
  • BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months of hire date
  • A minimum of 3 years prior inpatient RN care manager experience in an acute care hospital, or a minimum of 3 years of inpatient RN experience in the acute care hospital setting
About the Role

This dynamic role requires strong interpersonal skills, leadership, negotiation skills, and knowledge of hospital operations. You will also need to have fast and accurate typing and data entry skills, as well as proficiency in information systems, databases, and programs including MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
