About the Role:

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Service Representative to join our team. As a Sales and Service Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with store associates, store management, and other district managers to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously promote and represent the brand and product strengths to Lowes associates, customers, and contractors, highlighting competitive advantages and competitor weaknesses.
  • Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits, as well as gather and document competitor intelligence information.
  • Conduct contractor events to promote products and increase sales, ensuring promotions, pricing, and signage are set appropriately in each store.
  • Prepare Annual Growth Plans (AGPs) for assigned stores in the territory that meet or exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Conduct product knowledge (PK) training sessions for current and newly hired Lowes associates, including features, benefits, and selling skills, as well as product demonstrations.
  • Conduct sales training to current and newly hired Lowes associates, focusing on sales techniques and strategies.
  • Provide training on promotional displays, color conversations, and equipment operation, including tinting machines.
  • Respond to and resolve product/service/inventory issues at the store level, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist store associates with tinting/mixing paint as needed, reviewing all products on shelf to ensure full stock and proper display.
  • Replace defective products, maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip, and color card stock, and order inventory of collateral to ensure stock levels.
  • Manage P&L reviews and expenses, including mistint expense tracking, collateral expenses, and T&E.
  • Assist other Sales Service Representatives as needed, attending required conference calls, local and non-local trainings, and National Sales Meetings.
  • Complete required paperwork/reports in a timely manner, including mileage tracking and expense reporting.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of previous experience in Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, with up to 9 Saturdays per year.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
  • Conducting presentations to groups of employees preferred.
  • Experience in sales, customer service, or merchandising preferred.
  • Ability to work independently preferred.
  • P&L/Budget Management preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see constantly.
  • Must be able to walk, write, and type frequently.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull occasionally.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work indoors and outdoors as needed, with exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
  • May work in areas where noise levels require hearing protection.
  • May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
  • May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
  • Work surfaces may include concrete.
  • Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and wear a respirator as required.
  • Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Some travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars is required.

Technical/Skill Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to learn to operate in-store tinting machines.
  • Must be able to operate an iPhone and computer.
  • Previous paint/coatings experience preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • 50% or more (may be less, depending on geographic region).
