Full-time, 5 days a week on site (Monday to Friday, with half day on Fridays finishing at 12:30pm)

Job Overview:

Elevation Recruitment Group is looking for a skilled and motivated Buyer to join a leading manufacturer in the packaging machinery sector.

This position plays a vital role in the effective sourcing of essential materials required for the production of our innovative packaging solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Activities:
Identify and acquire raw materials and components from both domestic and international vendors.
Engage in negotiations regarding contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-efficient procurement while upholding quality standards.
Establish and nurture strong partnerships with key suppliers to maintain a dependable supply chain.

Supply Chain Oversight:
Analyze market trends, competitor actions, and supplier landscapes.
Recognize and address potential risks within the supply chain to prevent production interruptions.
Collaborate closely with the logistics team to guarantee prompt delivery of materials.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure that all procured materials meet company quality benchmarks and industry regulations.
Conduct regular evaluations and audits of suppliers to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.

Financial Management:
Assist in the development and oversight of the procurement budget.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Collaboration and Reporting:
Work in partnership with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ascertain material needs.
Provide regular updates to the Head of Procurement regarding purchasing activities and supplier performance.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Demonstrated experience in a buying or procurement capacity within a manufacturing or related environment.
Experience in sourcing raw materials from both local and international suppliers.

Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
