Call Center Representative

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the daily operations of our Transportation Coordination Center. As a Call Center Associate, you will be responsible for creating daily work schedules for drivers, monitoring their performance, and making adjustments as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Create daily work schedules for drivers and monitor their performance
- Coordinate communications during disasters and follow hospital disaster policy and procedures
- Receive emergent and non-emergent requests for patient movement from Jamaica Hospital Medical Center sites
- Coordinate radio, cellular, paging, and communications between drivers and different departments
- Maintain daily logs and registers, and computer records
- Input call data into the computer and complete additional assignments as directed by supervisory staff
- Manage and forward paperwork logs and ambulance call reports
- Current New York State Emergency Medical Technician Certification or higher
- New York State Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous on-the-job computer/database experience
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is an asset
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to produce high-quality work in accordance with hospital standards
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
- Knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and standards
- Knowledge of medical terminology
