Position Overview:
The Consumer Lending Representative is responsible for managing all back-office operations within the Consumer Lending Department. This includes processing various loan types such as consumer loans, home equity loans, small business loans, and credit card applications. The role involves providing essential information and services to our members through various communication channels, ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process consumer, home equity, and small business loan applications via phone and online platforms.
  • Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Open new accounts, including various savings and checking options.
  • Act as a liaison between members and underwriters, communicating loan options and requirements effectively.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to inform members of lending decisions and provide credit enhancement advice.
  • Review and interpret financial documents and credit reports to assess loan eligibility.
  • Assist members with inquiries regarding credit union services and loan policies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan applications and manage the booking and funding process.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information and adhere to compliance regulations.
  • Provide training and support to new team members as needed.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role preferred.
Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a high level of accuracy in all transactions.
