Job Title: Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll for employees located in multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and verify timesheets
  • Enter employee information and payroll data into the system
  • Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions
  • Prepare multiple weekly payrolls for salaries as well as hourly employees in multiple states
  • Calculate and process Federal and state payroll tax liabilities
  • Prepare applicable tax returns and IRS forms as required
  • Process new employees, promotions, and terminations
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll questions
  • Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports
  • Perform reconciliations
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Microsoft Excel skills and comprehension
  • Ability to take ownership of duties and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of gross to net payroll calculations and processes
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws preferred
  • Experience with Sage 100 payroll preferred
