Little Rock, Arkansas, United States Doctor's Choice Placement Services, Inc Full time

Hospitalist Position in Northern Arkansas

We are excited to present a permanent opportunity for a Hospitalist in the stunning region of Northern Arkansas, nestled in the Majestic Ozark Mountains. This position is with a private group of Hospitalists who are looking to expand their team, currently consisting of five members, with plans for a sixth member in the near future.

Flexible Scheduling

The schedule for this role is designed to be flexible, allowing for a work-life balance that suits your needs. Compensation is highly competitive, with additional recruitment incentives available, including signing bonuses and relocation assistance provided by the Medical Center.

Advanced Care Facilities

The Medical Center features an 18-bed ICU, which is a combination of medical-surgical and cardiac care, equipped with an electronic ICU (eICU) system. This innovative setup connects to a team of Intensivists offsite, ensuring 24-hour patient care through advanced video monitoring technology, in addition to our dedicated medical staff.

Patient Volume and Procedures

Each physician typically manages a patient volume of approximately 12-15. While Hospitalists have the option to perform procedures, it is not a requirement, as a dedicated procedure team is available on call if needed. The cardiothoracic surgeon primarily oversees heart patients, allowing for a collaborative approach to care.

Community-Focused Candidates

The group is seeking candidates who are interested in a long-term commitment and desire to establish roots in the community. They are looking for individuals who envision a permanent position rather than a short-term stay.

About the Medical Center

This 268-bed tertiary care hospital serves a 14-county area, catering to a population of approximately 275,000 residents in Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri. The active medical staff comprises 100 physicians across around 30 medical specialties. The Emergency Department has recently undergone renovations, featuring 22 beds equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring systems and handling approximately 28,000 visits annually. Recent advancements include the addition of three Hyperbaric Chambers in the Wound Healing Center and Tele-psych services.
