Physician Assistant Hospitalist Role

As a Physician Assistant in our Hospitalist program, you will work under the supervision and direction of collaborating physicians or the Medical Director. You will provide direct, comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, counseling, and instruction in compliance with Provider Protocols and all regulations governing APPs.
Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare for which the APN is educationally prepared and for which competence has been attained and maintained.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Hospitalist program, including fiscal accountability, time, and resources.
Qualifications
- Current PA licensure in Arkansas.
- Documentation compliant with the Medical Board of satisfactory completion of a PA educational program and completion of preceptorship.
- Acute Care certification.
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration.
