Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Welcome customers warmly and with a positive demeanor.
  • Deliver exceptional service by addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and accurately processing orders.
  • Receive and manage customer orders, ensuring precision in selection and pricing.
  • Input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to orders, payments, or service issues.
  • Work with management to address more complex challenges.

Financial Transactions:

  • Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and various payment methods.
  • Provide change and process transactions following established protocols.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies to prevent discrepancies.
  • Implement security measures to protect against theft or fraud.
  • Complete end-of-shift tasks, including balancing cash registers and preparing financial reports.
  • Secure cash and finalize the POS system accurately.

Menu Familiarity:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of menu items, including ingredients and pricing.
  • Assist customers with menu questions and offer recommendations as needed.
  • Encourage additional purchases, promotions, or upsells to enhance the dining experience.

Workspace Maintenance:

  • Ensure the cashier area is clean and organized.
  • Arrange menus, promotional materials, and other items in an orderly fashion.

Effective Communication:

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Convey special requests or modifications from customers to the kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in cashiering or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong numerical skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
