Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Welcome patrons with a warm and inviting demeanor.
  • Deliver exceptional service by addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and accurately processing orders.
  • Receive and manage customer orders, ensuring precision in item selection and pricing.
  • Efficiently input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Resolve customer issues related to orders, payments, or service with professionalism.
  • Work collaboratively with management to address more complex concerns.
Financial Transactions:
  • Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
  • Provide change and process transactions in line with established protocols.
  • Follow cash handling guidelines to maintain accuracy.
  • Implement security measures to protect against theft or fraud.
  • Complete end-of-shift tasks, including reconciling cash registers and generating reports.
  • Secure cash and accurately close out the POS system.
Menu Familiarity:
  • Possess a thorough understanding of menu items, including ingredients and pricing.
  • Assist customers with menu-related questions and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Encourage additional purchases, promotions, or upsells to enhance the dining experience.
Workstation Maintenance:
  • Ensure the cashier area is clean and organized.
  • Arrange menus, promotional materials, and other items in an orderly fashion.
Effective Communication:
  • Maintain clear communication with kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Convey special requests or modifications from customers to the kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in cashiering or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong numerical skills for precise transaction handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
