Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

  • Welcome customers with a warm and inviting demeanor.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing assistance, and accurately processing orders.
  • Receive and manage customer orders, ensuring precision in item selection and pricing.
  • Input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system swiftly and accurately.
  • Resolve customer concerns or issues related to orders, payments, or service.
  • Work collaboratively with management to address more complex challenges.
Financial Transactions:
  • Process cash, credit card, and other payment methods with accuracy.
  • Provide change to customers and execute transactions following established protocols.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies to prevent discrepancies.
  • Implement security measures to protect against theft or fraud.
  • Complete end-of-shift tasks, including balancing cash registers and generating reports.
  • Safeguard cash and accurately close out the POS system.
Menu Familiarity:
  • Maintain a solid understanding of menu items, including ingredients and pricing.
  • Assist customers with menu-related questions and offer recommendations as needed.
  • Encourage additional items, promotions, or upsells to enhance the dining experience.
Workspace Maintenance:
  • Ensure the cashier area is clean and organized.
  • Arrange menus, promotional materials, and other items neatly.
Effective Communication:
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and serving staff to guarantee accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Convey special requests or modifications from customers to the kitchen staff.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in cashiering or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong numerical and mathematical skills for precise transaction processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
